‘Willow’ Season 1 Release Date: Willow, a fantasy from the 1980s made by LucasFilms, will be back right after Thanksgiving this year! On November 30, 2022, a Disney+ series starring Warwick Davis will return to continue the story of Ron Howard’s classic film. So, where does Willow’s story pick up, who do we follow this time, and what can you expect from a sequel that comes 30 years after the first one?

Plotline of Willow 

The TV show is like the fantasy movie from the 1980s. In the movie, Willow went on a quest to get a young girl he found near his village to a safe place. When he went to get her back, he found himself in a place that wasn’t his own.

His journey is hard because monsters sent by the very bad Empress Bavmorda attack him all the time. But on the bright side, he made some friends for life who would help him win in the end.

We haven’t been able to find out much about the new show, but the fact that it will feature the selfless, loving Willow is enough to get people to watch. The show has also confirmed that this series will be set in a different time period.

This time, Willow will be seen helping a young woman named Kit find her kidnapped brother. Kit and Willow, along with a small group of friends, will now go on a new quest.

Willow Release Date

Willow is a property of Lucasfilm, so it will debut under the name of its parent company, Disney+. The first episode of the eight-episode series will air on November 30, 2022. After that, new episodes will come out every Wednesday.

The Willow: Who’s Behind the Camera?

Ron Howard is not taking the helm, but he is still involved with the project as an executive producer alongside Kathleen Kennedy and Jonathan Kasdan, two veterans of the Lucasfilm team. As well as working with Howard, Kasdan will serve as the showrunner for Solo: A Star Wars Story. Kasdan, in addition to John Bickerstaff, is listed as a screenwriter for the series.
