The Victims Game Season 2 Release Date: The Taiwanese Netflix Original series “The Victims Game” is praised for its well-done plot and attention to forensic details.

In the mystery thriller, a detective with Asperger’s tries to figure out what’s going on with a series of deaths where the bodies are burned or melted so much that they can’t be identified.

He tries his best to find clues and figure out what all the evidence means because he thinks his daughter is involved in some way.

Netflix doesn’t often give Taiwanese shows a second season. But “The Victims Game” has won a lot of awards, which shows how good it is. Will “The Victims Game” end the run of bad luck?

Will It Be Renewed for Season 2?

The Taiwanese Netflix Original show will return for season 2 in September 2020, the Netflix media centre said.

On April 30, 2020, “The Victims Game” was added to Netflix.

It’s not the first original Taiwanese show to come to the platform. But so far, this is the only one that has made it past the first season. People who watched it and people who wrote about it both liked it. Decider said that “The Victims Game” was a good police thriller and gave it a rating of “Stream It.”

Other Taiwanese titles on Netflix include “Nowhere Man,” which will be available in October 2019, “Triad Princess,” which will be available in December 2019, and “The Ghost Bride,” which will be available in January 2020.

The Victims Game Season 2 Plotline

In “The Victims Game,” Fang Yi-Jen, a forensic detective with Asperger’s syndrome, is the main character. He is helping the police with a case that has to do with his daughter Hsiao-Meng, who he hasn’t seen in a long time.

A reporter named Hsu Hai-Yin looked into the case and became very interested in helping Fang Yi-Jen figure out what was going on.

A melted body was found in a bathtub filled with some kind of acid solution. It turned out that the body was part of a “suicide chain” set up by a woman named Li Ya-Chun.

Hsiao-Meng was caught up in the terrible deaths, and he also tried to kill himself. She is saved, and her father, Fang Yi-Jen, is able to find her.

The end of Season 1 was complete and took place two years after the “suicide chain.” Fang Yi-Jen quit his job as a forensic scientist to become a professor, and his daughter Hsiao-Meng was released from a juvenile prison.

Reporter Hsu Hai-Yin drives Fang Yi-Jen to prison so that he can pick up his daughter. He gets out of the car and doesn’t care that it’s raining, while his daughter Hsiao-Meng comes out of jail with an umbrella. She gives her father the umbrella, and the show ends with a flashback frame of Yi-Jen, his wife, and a young Hsiao-Meng near the edge of the cliff.

We don’t know much about what will happen in season 2, but it looks like the three will be in some kind of danger again. But this time, Fang Yi-Jen has already gotten back in touch with his daughter, which could change a lot about how they deal with problems in the future. Yi-Jen might have more time to spend with his daughter now that he is no longer a detective.

It’s also possible that the former forensic expert and Hsu Hai-Yin will work together again in the future.

Greener Grass Production’s award-winning producers Hank Tseng and Phil Tang said that season 2 will be “even more exciting and captivating than the first.”

“From script to screen, we are proud to have created The Victims’ Game as an entirely original IP from Taiwan,” Tseng and Tang said in a statement after the renewal. “This renewal with Netflix is a milestone for the local entertainment industry to set foot on the global stage. It is time to unleash the limitless potential of original stories from Taiwan.”

The Victims Game Season 2 Release Date

We don’t know the exact date yet, but the landing page for the show on Netflix said it would come out in 2022.

On April 30, 2020, the series started. We thought that the second season would come out around the same time in 2022, but that can’t happen now.

‘The Victims Game’ Season 2 Cast
