Shane names his Welsh fifteen Stars of the year

Jordan Williams at fullback, Keiran Williams at the centre, Keiron Assiratti at prop, and Morgan Morris of the Ospreys in the back row are Shane’s four uncapped participants. Steff Evans is chosen for one of the wings, even though Gatland did not include the Scarlets flyer in his large Rugby World Cup 2023 practice squad. Harrison, who will take over for Richard Cockerill on June 1st, follows in the footsteps of the selections of Richard Wigglesworth, Aled Walters, and Kevin Sinfield, all of whom have left the Tigers for England.

Harrison, who was a member of the squad that claimed the Premiership championship in 2022, now serves as the Tigers’ assistant trainer and is in charge of scrum coaching.

“Tom is a great instructor and will have a significant effect in a field that will be important for us as a squad,” remarked Borthwick. Tom played a crucial role in Leicester’s success, and their scrum is recognised throughout Europe for its achievements. I have complete faith in him and am delighted that he is moving to England.”

The chief executive of Leicester, Andrea Pinchon, confirmed Harrison’s resignation and continued, “Since joining Leicester Tigers, Tom has been an incredible performer to the club on and off the field. We regret seeing him leave after the campaign, but we hope for his luck in his future efforts.”

“While it has been an additional obstacle for us this year with instructors being recruited by the national side, we keep seeing it as an identification of honour for the standard at which we are regarded within the sport.
