The activities of a banking group cannot be limited to finance alone but must also work in favour of the growth of society in its various aspects, culture among all: this is the vision that has shaped the actions of Iswiss since the foundation of the Swiss banking group and still guides its steps today.

And it is precisely in this context that the iSwiss Pay group company, specialised in payment management and the first company to enter the Swift circuit, is sponsoring the Italian Film by Edoardo De Angelis ‘Il Comandante’, which stars an internationally renowned actor such as Pierfrancesco Favino.

This historic film was chosen as the opening film for the 80th edition of the Venice International Film Festival: one of the most important global showcases for the world of art-house cinema. And the screening was attended by some of the highest authorities of the Italian State, including the President of the Republic Sergio Mattarella.

“The opportunity to collaborate with the production company Indigo Film and Rai Movie for the sponsorship of the film ‘Il Comandante’ represents a real pleasure and honour for iSwiss Pay and for the entire iSwiss group,” said Christopher Aleo, CEO of the group and obviously among the guests at the screening. “There could not have been a better occasion than the Venice Film Festival for the launch of a film of such great artistic depth but at the same time capable of thrilling the audience in the theatre.”

“Il Comandante” tells a story of war, of the Second World War, but still very topical: that of the commander of a submarine (Pierfrancesco Favino, as always perfectly cast in the part) who sinks an enemy ship but decides to save the shipwrecked, in accordance with the law of the sea and humanity.

“As iSwiss, we want to commit ourselves not only to growing the economy of the countries in which we are active, but also society as a whole, also from a cultural point of view. And being a sponsor of a film of the value of ‘Il Comandante’ we believe can be a step in the right direction,” concluded Aleo, before returning to work on the various projects the banking group is currently developing.

Growth projects, not only economic, that are expected to materialise successfully in the near future: because the growth of iSwiss, so astonishing in the last three years, does not seem destined to encounter any setbacks.
