Indie-Rock artist ‘Moxon’, originally from Sheffield and now based in South London, has unveiled his latest single titled ‘Vinnie’s Tune’. Known for his incorporation of chill, dynamic guitar loops and groovy beats, along with honest lyrics that resonate with the struggles of today’s generation, Moxon is back with this captivating new release, winning over fans on both sides of the Watford Gap.

With an abundance of reverb, Moxon constructs the track by layering a lively, choppy guitar atop laid-back drum grooves, complemented by striking lead guitar lines. This combination produces a dazzling sound that seamlessly blends elements of Indie-Rock and Reggae. ‘Vinnie’s Tune’ follows the story of ‘Vinnie,’ a character formed from Moxon’s interactions with people he has encountered in conversations at local pubs in London and Sheffield. These discussions inspired Moxon to create the character ‘Vinnie’, allowing the song to offer listeners a glimpse into Vinnie’s world.

Born out of the tedium of lockdown, Moxon began recording and developing his unique sound, employing a loop pedal along with an assortment of guitar pedals, synths, and drum pads. This arrangement enables him to construct a wall of sound that has garnered him a strong reputation within the South London music scene. Moxon has extensively performed in Yorkshire and London, selling out numerous venues while consistently delivering fresh and exciting music that ignites indie dancefloors. Supported by esteemed platforms such as BBC Radio Sheffield, Music Crowns, and South London Press, and recently having opened for The Waeve (Graham Coxon & Rose Elinor Dougall) at Sheffield’s Foundry, Moxon is poised for an exhilarating year in 2023.
