Sigurd Vedal lived what many would consider an enviable life. As a successful media professional in Norway, he had a beautiful wife, amazing children, and a thriving career. Yet beneath the surface of his seemingly perfect life, Vedal was nursing a silent struggle: a gnawing sense of unfulfillment.

The sudden death of his father became a profound awakening for Vedal, propelling him to abandon his comfortable career and take the plunge into entrepreneurship.

This discovery crushed Vedal’s world-view.

The pain of his divorce along with his disenchantment with love, spurred Vedal into a relentless pursuit of the capitalist dream.

He sought to drown his sorrows in material success and created Victoria Milan, a dating site catering to married individuals seeking affairs.

The site was a lightning rod for controversy, yet Vedal defended it, arguing that it provided a safe, discreet alternative for people to explore their desires.

Victoria Milan quickly became one of the most popular dating sites in Europe, with over 11 million members on its books.

As Vedal steered the expansion of his site, his interest in understanding relationships never waned. He asked challenging questions: What triggers infidelity? What causes love to wax and wane? And crucially, how can these issues be resolved?

Armed with a wealth of data and access to millions of members willing to share their experiences anonymously, Vedal was in a unique position. He conducted extensive research studies, using detailed surveys, all with one key objective: to unravel the mystery of why people cheat. His subsequent discoveries on the nature of infidelity brought both scorn and an insatiable interest from the press.

The justifications he had constructed for his business crumbled, leaving him with a stark choice: continue down his current path, or make a drastic change.

Vedal chose change.

Capitalizing on the vast data and insights from his tenure at Victoria Milan, Vedal realized he had amassed a unique expertise in understanding infidelity. With his inherent drive for growth, he decided to devote several years to focused study in this area.

To further his knowledge, Vedal sought guidance from renowned relationship experts and engaged with top researchers in the field. His goal was clear: to expand his understanding and decipher the complex dynamics of human relationships.

With support from his mentors and his relationship coaching clients, Vedal went on to create The Love Flame Method, a seven-step program designed to help couples recover from infidelity and rekindle passion in their relationships.

In an effort to help heal the problems caused by broken relationships he also launched NextLove, a dating site for single parents, as well as going on to sell Victoria Milan – symbolically washing his hands of his controversial past.
