TBC, KBC, K24, Azam or GOTV! Which TV channels will air African Football League matches in the quarterfinals?

The first leg of the CAF Champions League semifinal between the Red Eagles and Esperance was played at Rades' Hammadi Agrebi Stadium, and the Red Eagles won 3-0.

Percy Tau combined muscle and technique to score two goals that put Al Ahly up 2-0, and Mahmoud Kahraba added a third with a gorgeous finish following an outstanding onslaught.

Ahly entered the second leg, which will be contested at Cairo Stadium, with a three-goal lead.

The initial line-up that Marcel Koller used to clinch a scoreless draw away at Raja Casablanca and advance Ahly to the semifinals remained the same.

After just nine minutes of play, Al Ahly had taken the lead when Tau collected a gorgeous ball from Kahraba following a great dummy by Hamdy Fathy.

The South African scored his third goal in the competition this year with a powerful strike that the custodian was unable to stop.

The home team made an effort to recover and had two chances from two headers in the space of one minute, but both went wide.

When Kahraba faced the Tunisian custodian one-on-one, Ahly almost doubled their lead, but Kahraba's strike missed the mark.

The Red Eagles' strong defence and the threat of their counterattacks were the highlights of the opening 45 minutes.

Ahly will now travel to Tanzania to play for Simba SC. The African Football League quarterfinals, semis, and finals round are now underway. Simba SC will welcome Al Ahly at the Benjamin Mkapa Stadium on Friday, October 20, 2023.

Permanent Secretary, Ministry of Culture, Arts, and Sports, Gerson Msigwa, announced the gift of Tsh. 10 million for every goal scored by Simba SC against Al Ahly, which will be given by the President of the United Republic of Tanzania, Hon. Dr. Samia Solution Hassan.
