41.1 percent of Kenyan Adults, according to a recent poll by the Kenya National Bureau of Statistics called the Kenya Time Use Report, had never been Married.
 

35 percent of them are people in the 25–29 age range.

16.2% of those between the ages of 30 and 34 had never been married as well.

Notably, those who have never been married make up 3.4 percent of the population who are 55 to 59 years old, whereas people in that age range make up 9 percent.

"Age groupings of between 45 and 49 years for individuals who have never been married stand at 4.1 percent."

Kenyans between the ages of 60 and 64 made up the largest percentage of people in polygamous marriages (7.9 percent), which was followed by those between the ages of 55 and 59.

65 years of age or older make up 7.7% of people in polygamous marriages. 50.8 percent of Survey respondents are monogamous in their marriages.

Additionally, 2.7 percent of people are separated, compared to 2.9 percent who are in polygamous marriages.

"It is also significant to take into account that 3.3 percent of teenage women are in monogamous marriages," according to the survey.

However, the research found that more teenage males than women had never been married.

Only 19,522 of the 24,000 houses that were sampled for the 2021 survey were deemed to be qualified for the survey.

"The time of the programme was geared towards people aged 15 years and older."

From the 16,945 houses surveyed, 40,764 people qualified for the time-use survey segment. A maximum of two people were chosen at random.
