Real Sociedad and Inter Milan to face each other on Wednesday night in the Champions League. 

Inter Milan comes into the game after a sensational victory over AC Milan in the first Milan derby of the season. 

They have established themselves as clear favourites to win the Serie A title for the second time in four seasons, having collected all 12 points from their first four games. 

With just one goal conceded so far, Inter is arguably the most in-form side in Europe.

In the derby victory over AC Milan, Henrikh Mkhitaryan scored twice, while Marcus Thuram scored another finish to continue his excellent start to life at Inter. 

Hakan Calhanoglu scored from the penalty spot in the second half, as Davide Frattesi scored in added time. The only goal Inter has conceded so far was from Rafael Leao in that derby game.

Inter has also beaten Fiorentina 4-0 this season, with Lautaro Martinez scoring a brace and Thuram scoring his debut goal.

Martinez, who is in great form this season, also netted two goals in the 2-0 win over Monza back on the opening weekend. 

The other victory for Simeone Inzaghi's side saw them beat Cagliari 2-0, with Martinez scoring again after a Denzel Dumfries finish.

On the other hand, Real Sociedad lost for the first time this season when they travelled to the Santiago Bernabeu and lost 2-1 to Real Madrid. 

They managed to defeat Granada 5-3 with a brace in the first half from Takefusa Kubo, as Martin Zubimendi and Ander Barrenetxea added goals in the second half.

 

However, they only managed to draw the other three games outside of their one win and one defeat, which includes a 1-1 draw with Girona and Celta Vigo and a 0-0 draw with Las Palmas.
