Juventus has dropped to seventh place in the rankings after another point penalty, five points behind the top four.

Despite having 61% possession and 19 shots on Monday, Juventus enters the match on Sunday coming off a humiliating 4-1 loss at Empoli.

After wins against Lecce, Atalanta, and Cremonese, Max Allegri's team had a three-game winning run in Serie A until that defeat.

The fact that Juventus has won six of their previous seven home league games and has only suffered two Serie A losses all season should also be noted.

On home turf, the Old Lady has triumphed in 11 of their last 14 league games, so they will be challenging to defeat on Sunday.

With regard to AC Milan, they recently defeated demoted Sampdoria 5-0, with seasoned striker Olivier Giroud scoring a hat-trick in the thrashing.

The Rossoneri's three-game losing streak came to an end with the triumph after back-to-back losses to Inter Milan in the Champions League semifinals.

Milan has only lost one of their previous nine Serie A games, winning four and drawing four, keeping them in contention for a top-four spot.

However, Milan has lost all three of its most recent away league games, with draws against Bologna and Roma coming before a 2-0 loss at Spezia.

Head-to-head: Milan has won all four of their games with Juventus without losing, while the Turin powerhouses have only prevailed once in the previous eight encounters.

However, it is important to keep in mind that Milan has only triumphed once in their prior 11 league encounters at the Allianz Stadium.

News about the team: Due to injury, Juventus is presently missing Paul Pogba, Matias Soule, Leonardo Bonucci, Kaio Jorge and Mattia De Sciglio

Ante Rebic, Aster Vranckx, Divock Origi, Ismael Bennacer, and Zlatan Ibrahimovic are among the AC Milan players that are injured.

Juventus and Milan have played four draws in their last eight encounters, so Sunday's matchup is guaranteed to be a close contest.

Juventus need to win this game to play in the European contest either conference league or Europa League. AC Milan is secured in the Champions League.
