Smartwings (QS) is a low-cost, Czech airline and part of the Smartwings Group. Smartwings is even the largest Czech airline operating private, scheduled, and charter flights. Also, its headquarters are traceable to Prague’s Václav Havel Airport. Along with destinations in the Czech Republic, the network of Smartwings includes countries such as Germany, Hungary, Poland, and the Slovak Republic. The origins of Smartwings date back to the year 1997 when it was founded as Travel Service. In the year 2018, Travel Service set up its low-cost subsidiary under the name Smartwings. Then, in December 2018, Travel Service was rebranded to the same name as its low-cost brand – Smartwings.

You can reach out to the airline staff to know about the check-in timings. If you want to check-in online, you can do so between 30 hours and 60 minutes before flight departure. If you want to check-in at the airport, you can do so starting 2 hours and up to 40 minutes before departure time.

If you want to make group bookings for QS flights, the airline staff provides all the requisite information too. If you want to get a quote for group bookings, you should call the Group Reservation Helpdesk on +420 220 11 4897 from Monday to Friday between 0900 hours and 1700 hours.

Smartwings has group offers for 10 or more passengers traveling on the same itinerary. In case you’re booking for 10 to 25 persons, the airline rules mandate paying a non-refundable deposit of 10% of the total fare up to 45 days from the departure date. However, the airline rules for group bookings for 26 seats or more are different. In such cases, you have to pay a non-refundable deposit of 50% of the fare not later than 45 days from departure. Moreover, the total payment for all group bookings has to be made no later than 21 days from scheduled departure. In addition, all passenger names in group bookings have to be submitted to the airline at least 3 days before the date of departure. The airline also permits potential name changes in group bookings up to 24 hours before flight departure.

Even you can speak to the QS team to know how to cancel your booking. Refunds for Smartwings flights are subject to the conditions of the price deal under which you’ve purchased the flight ticket. Under the LITE and PLUS price packages, tickets and any additional services that you’ve purchased with it are non-refundable. The airline refunds only unused airport charges in such cases. On the other hand, if you’ve purchased a SmartWings flight ticket under the FLEX price package, you can claim refunds for each untraveled segment as per the airline rules. For refunds that you’ve bought via the Smartwings website, you have to fill out the Contact Form. Additionally, if you’ve not purchased your ticket from the airline website, you should approach the outside Smartwings channels from where you’ve purchased your ticket for refund requests.

The Smartwings representatives are also available for help when you’re traveling with your infant. Passengers who are traveling with an infant who is under 2 years can purchase an extra seat for the baby and use an authorized car seat for them during the flight. They are also entitled to carry up to 200 ml baby food on board.

Talk to the QS team even if you want how to upgrade your Economy class ticket to Business Class. Note that Smartwings allows Economy class ticketholders to upgrade to Business Class when they call the airline support desk helpline no later than 2 hours before flight departure.
