A total of 69 contestants from across the world arrive in the nation on October 3. Over the past 17 days, beauties have participated in an array of cultural activities in Hanoi, Ha Long, Hue, Hoi An, and Da Nang.
Le Hoang Phuong, 28, (C) who was crowned Miss Grand Vietnam 2023 pageant on August 27, represents the country at this year’s pageant.
The Vietnamese beauty was named among the Top 10 of the Best in Swimsuit event. She is now among the leading group in the Popular Vote segment launched on fanpage of MGI, with the chance to go straight into the Top 10 finalists.
Phuong resides in Khanh Hoa province and stands at 1.76 metres tall with body measurement of 88-63-99 cm. The model is also an architect and has previous experience in beauty pageants having clinched a Top 5 finish at Miss Universe Vietnam 2022.
The annual Miss Grand International pageant was originally founded back in 2013 by Nawat Itsaragrisil, a Thai television host and producer.
The contest was first held in the nation back in 2017 and has greatly contributed to promoting Vietnamese culture and tourism through tours nationwide, allowing guests to experience plenty of traditional craft activities. Nguyen Thuc Thuy Tien became the first Vietnamese representative to be crowned Miss Grand International back in 2021.
The grand final of MGI is scheduled to take place at the Phu Tho indoor stadium in Ho Chi Minh City on October 25. Reigning beauty queen Isabella Menin from Brazil will hand over the crown to her successor.
Following the conclusion of the grand final on October 25, the Top 10 of Miss Grand International 2023 will then spend 10 days from October 26 to November 4 carrying out their mission in Vietnam.
