The Level-2 Field Hospital Rotation 5 of Vietnam in South Sudan recently held a ceremony to celebrate Vietnamese Women’s Day and honor female Vietnamese peacekeepers who are serving in UN peacekeeping operations, as reported by PANO.
During the ceremony, the hospital conducted health screenings for 20 servicewomen from the Mongolian Battalion of the UN Mission in
South Sudan
in Bentiu.

The hospital’s leadership then presented gifts to 10 Vietnamese and 20 Mongolian female peacekeepers and shared information about common diseases affecting women.
The hospital staff also introduced the country, culture, people, and history of Vietnam, as well as the relations between Vietnam and Mongolia, to the Mongolian peacekeepers.
The Director of Level-2 Field Hospital Rotation 5 proposed plans for future cooperation between the hospital and the Mongolian Battalion, focusing on healthcare issues, cultural and culinary exchanges, sports exchanges, and coordination in other aspects of work.
The two units then held a cultural, artistic, and culinary exchange, leaving a good impression on all participants.

Earlier, to celebrate International Women’s Day on March 8, the hospital organized a week of traditional Vietnamese long dress (“Ao dai”). From March 1 to 8, Vietnamese female peacekeepers wore Ao dai for ceremonial activities and while examining and treating patients.
The aim of the week was to honor the beauty of the Ao dai and introduce Vietnamese cultural values to international friends.
