One of the most stunning pink destinations in the world: a 153-year-old church in HCM City

“Tan Dinh Church, located in the center of Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam, is a breathtaking architectural masterpiece and a famous Pink symbol,” stated the daily newspaper.

The city’s oldest Catholic church was established in 1864, and the iconic pink exterior was added in 1957. However, the real surprise awaits inside with an even brighter shade of pink. For pink enthusiasts, it’s like stepping into a wedding cake, the article noted.

The Hindustan Times praised the church as a captivating pink landmark.

The construction of Tan Dinh Church began in 1870 and was completed six years later. It is the second largest church in Ho Chi Minh City, only surpassed by the iconic Saigon Notre Dame Basilica, which is currently closed for renovation for the next two years.

The main tower stands at a height of 52 meters, with a towering cross three meters high. Inside the tower, a 5.5-ton bell hangs. The interior features two rows of columns and an altar made of Italian marble.

Situated in District 3, also known as the Pink Church, Tan Dinh church was included on Condé Nast Traveler’s list of 10 pink global destinations in June 2020.

The Hindustan Times also highlighted several other destinations beloved by pink enthusiasts, including Lake Hillier in Australia, Jaipur (known as the Pink City) in India, Pink Sands Beach in the Bahamas, Hitachi Seaside Park in Japan, the Laguna Salada de Torrevieja in Spain, Craigievar Castle in Scotland, and Las Coloradas in Mexico.
