Ta Chi Nhu in Tram Tau district, Yen Bai province, is renowned for its breathtaking landscapes and diverse forest ecosystems. It has become a highly sought-after destination among adventurers and nature enthusiasts alike.

In order to celebrate the natural beauty of Vietnam and its people, as well as to foster tourism in Tram Tau district and Yen Bai province, we are excited to announce the inaugural mountain climbing tournament “Steps into the Clouds” – Conquering the First Ta Chi Nhu Peak. This highly anticipated event will take place from September 29, 2023, to October 1, 2023. Our aim is to showcase the breathtaking landscapes of Vietnam and create an unforgettable experience for participants and spectators alike.

The prize was co-organized by the Tram Tau District People’s Committee, Vietnam Law Newspaper, and Hung Viet Trading and Services Company Limited. It serves as a platform to enhance awareness about health training and foster the climbing sports movement in Vietnam.

We are pleased to offer our support to individuals attending the event by covering their travel and accommodation expenses. The itinerary includes a journey from Hanoi to Tram Tau, where participants will engage in mountain climbing and descending activities. The group will then return to Hanoi.

Athletes participating in this tournament will face a challenging 10km hilly road course. The race begins at the base of the mountain in Sang Pao village, Xa Ho commune, and concludes at the majestic Ta Chi Nhu Peak, standing at an impressive altitude of 2,979m above sea level.

The climbing route boasts breathtaking natural scenery at various elevations, showcasing the enchanting sights of primeval jungle, low-canopy forest, grassland, and vibrant fields of purple flowers. The ultimate reward awaits at the summit of Ta Chi Nhu, offering participants a chance to reach out and touch the clouds.

To ensure the utmost satisfaction of participants, Tran Ngoc Ha, Deputy Editor-in-Chief of Vietnam Law Newspaper, has announced that the organizing committee will deploy a dedicated team of 60 to 70 staff members to provide guidance and support throughout the event. Furthermore, participants of the tournament will be offered complimentary insurance coverage for their peace of mind.

According to the organizer, it is mandatory for every participating athlete to bring along additional personal gear such as professional climbing shoes and personal medicine. They are also required to acquire first aid skills and cooperate with the organizers to ensure safety. Furthermore, it is advised that athletes abstain from consuming alcohol prior to climbing mountains.

Nguyen Hoang Long, Deputy Director of the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism of Yen Bai province, expresses his optimism that this tournament will serve as a valuable support for the local tourism industry.

Currently, Yen Bai is strategically determining its path for tourism development. Our objective is to preserve and promote our existing tourism offerings, with a focus on adventure tourism products. Notably, paragliding activities have significantly enhanced the reputation of Mu Cang Chai. We are committed to further expanding adventure tourism offerings to the Phinh Ho commune in Tram Tau. These efforts aim to establish Yen Bai as a prime destination for adrenaline-seeking travelers.
