Cuc Phuong National Park in the northern province of Ninh Binh was recently awarded ‘Asia’s Leading National Park’ by the prestigious World Travel Awards. Located just 120 kilometers from Hanoi, Cuc Phuong is Vietnam’s inaugural national park, established on July 7, 1962.

Cuc Phuong National Park, founded in 1962, holds the distinction of being Vietnam’s oldest national park. Situated just 120km southwest of Hanoi, it is bordered by the provinces of Ninh Binh, Hoa Binh, and Thanh Hoa. Cuc Phuong is renowned for its rich cultural and wildlife heritage, as well as its picturesque landscapes. The park is characterized by its stunning Limestone Mountains, which provide a breathtaking backdrop to the verdant rice terraces and traditional stilt houses of the Muong hill tribe.

Situated amidst a lush and verdant forest, this particular terrain serves as a thriving ecosystem for numerous endangered animal and plant species native to Asia.
