Singers from Abroad and Overseas Vietnamese Invited to Compete in Songwriting Contest

Foreign singer-songwriters residing in Vietnam will be given the opportunity to exhibit their musical composition and singing skills at the esteemed Tinh Ting Tinh Music Composition and Performance Competition.

The competition is jointly organized by VTV8 channel of Vietnam Television and MCM Online, a Joint Stock Company focused on Online Music Copyright.

We are pleased to announce that winners of this competition will receive significant cash prizes. The first prize is valued at nearly US$21,000, while the prize for potential foreign contestants is over US$4,000.

According to Le Minh Son, a musician who is also the creative director and producer of MCM Online, the competition provides a platform for young and talented musicians. It allows them to showcase their performance skills and promote their unpublished musical works.

MCM Online offers contestants valuable services including media sponsorship and copyright protection. Additionally, our platform aids in the professional promotion of their work through the signing of artist contracts.

Musician Le Minh Son emphasizes that the Tinh Ting Tinh competition stands out from others.

During the competition, contestants will have a unique opportunity to showcase their talents in a diverse range of musical genres including pop, rock, jazz, and hip-hop.

Vietnamese music showcases global integration through singers’ proficiency in foreign languages such as English, French, Japanese, and Korean.

The competition aims to promote new musical works and serve as a platform for marketing these works in Vietnam and internationally.

The musician described the contest as a celebration of sound that brings joy and has a melodious quality reminiscent of the delightful resonance of a bell. This captivating sound has the power to inspire and invigorate the artistic imagination of participants.

The theme for this year’s competition is “Homeland and Love.” Writers are invited to submit works that explore their own identity and inspire a sense of pride in their homeland’s heritage. By showcasing the unique characteristics of different regions, this theme aims to contribute to the advancement of culture, education, and tourism, both locally and across Vietnam.

The jury panel will consist of highly respected experts in Vietnamese music, including renowned musician Le Minh Son, Giang Son, and esteemed journalist Lam Thanh, who is also the director of VTV8.

The preliminary round is set to occur from September 6 to December 5 of this year. The regional semifinals will then take place between March 2 and June 10, 2024, leading up to the national final on June 24, 2024.
