The postholder is required to provide a full administrative and secretarial service for the management of the Opiate Replacement Therapy (ORT) Prescribing service based within CAReS including the management of the prescribing information and patient database systems.

What we’ll need you to bring

  • SVQIII in Secretarial Studies/Business Administration plus previous experience in an Administrative and Clerical role.
  • Educated to Higher Grade level.
  • Well developed interpersonal skills in customer care.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Ability to work under pressure.
  • Good organisational and planning skills.
  • Understanding of a range of procedures and processes.
  • Ability to prioritise work and work on own initiative whilst under pressure.
  • Proficient I.T. skills which include a working knowledge of Microsoft packages.
  • Ensuring confidentiality, diplomacy and discretion are maintained at all times.

It would be great if you also have

  • Administration or Clerical qualification
  • Ability to audio type
  • Ability to take minutes of a meeting
  • Ability to work flexible hours if required

Contract type

Fixed Term or Secondment for 2 years

Part Time

22 hours

Please note this is a part time post and the salary for this position will be pro-rata.

Please note this is a fixed term post for 2 years. Where a post only has temporary funding and an existing member of NHS Lanarkshire staff wishes to apply, this will be treated as a secondment. The employee MUST already have written agreement from their line manager to be released on a secondment before applying for the post.

Location and Working Pattern

This role will be based at Carluke Community Health Centre

The working pattern for this role is: 12.30 – 5pm Monday – Thursday, 12.30 – 4.30pm Friday
