Job description: AXA UK is on an amazing journey and we currently have an opportunity for a Category Manager – Marketing, Print & Document Management. You will be a critical part of the Procurement Team responsible for managing and implementing the UK & I Procurement strategy to the agreed scope,. You will use the Category Management Processes and in accordance with the appropriate RACI defined with the team, generating increased efficiency, compliance with FCA/PRA requirements, reduced cost and adherence to best practice.

This role will give you a great opportunity to contribute toward and develop our business functions to ensure supplier relationships adhere to FCA/PRA compliance and business risk is mitigated.

You’ll work at least 40% of your week away from home, either at one of our office locations, visiting clients or attending industry events. What you’ll be doing:

  • Work with internal stakeholders to gather, assess and challenge business requirements.
  • Coordinate delivery of the process/initiative, leading to establishment of best in class, policy, process, or service.
  • You will have a broad experience of supporting Marketing, Communications, Print and Document Management initiatives which will include software applications, SaaS, Digital and Cloud.
  • You may need to support the broader range of categories managed by the procurement team in times of high demand and/or absence.
  • Build the Category Strategy when it is not supported by a Global Category Manager and deliver this solution.
  • Challenge stakeholders in a manner appropriate to preserve relationships while achieving the right overall commercial result.
  • Manage delivery of UK & I Procurement process, policy and procedures (e.g. RFP, RFI, etc.) in accordance with local and Group requirements.
  • Understand in detail the budget approach (by type of expenses, contract, supplier) with Finance and Business Budget Owner to ensure a clear understanding of budget definition, utilization, optimisation and compliance.
  • Utilise Procurement tools (including IT) and best practice to increase efficiency and the quality of delivery contributing to Procurement savings and KPI objectives.

Qualifications

  • Proven Procurement experience in a similar role
  • CIPS Professional Procurement qualification (or working towards)
  • Educated up to A level, Degree preferred
