After May 2023, the filmmakers launched a poster of its sequel that still has a lot of time to be released. They have named that movie Double iSmart – after they launched the poster, it is set to release in 2024 on 8th March.

The film revolves around the life of an ordinary man who used to kill people for money. It was his job in order to lead his life and make a living. But one day, he gets to experience the memories of an officer who was dead. That marked a huge turning point in his life as well as career. Fans of South Indian films loved it when iSmart Shankar hit the theatres. Although the main attraction for them was of course, Ram Pothineni, later on, people started praising the writers for developing such a great storyline. No. Double iSmart is not based on a true story. It’s a sequel of iSmart Shankar which is a sci-fi written by Puri Jagannadh. Anything in the movie, the characters, their stories, and the incidents we see on screen – every one of them are works of fiction. Double iSmart: Sequel Of The Massively Successful iSmart Shankar

If you are a Ram Pothineni fan and you are reading this article, then you know about the film already. You must have known every possible discussion about Double iSmart that is there after the launching event of its poster. But if you have not watched iSmart Shankar yet, please keep on reading our article below. The film tells us about the ordinary life of an ordinary man. Shankar, our protagonist, is actually an assassin. He works under his contractor Kaka and under Kaka’s instructions, he managed to assassinate a famous politician. But as police start to investigate, they start to chase Shankar.

Before all this happened, Shankar fell for a girl he met on the streets. Chandini impressed him so much that Shankar started loving her. Now, when the police fell behind Shankar, Chandini did not leave him – the duo escaped to Goa. But soon, the police caught them – after a long shootout, Chandini dies and Shankar gets caught. On the other hand, we see a CBI officer Arun, and a neuroscientist Sara. After Shankar kills Kaka and flees with Sara’s car, shortly, Arun also dies in a shootout. With the help of an agency, Sara plants the chip in Shankar’s brain.

Now, Shankar starts to live his life as well as Arun’s. He is enraged and he is on a mission to crack the case. There is a constant tussle between who he really is. In the end, we finally see Shankar confront the original plotters behind all the murders. The first film ends with a good note where after all the struggles, Shankar, now Arun, reunites with Sara. Double iSmart will take on a new story since the last one is pretty tied up. The poster features Shiva’s trident and the movie releases on Maha Shivaratri. Puri Jagannadh will do something bigger with his sequel. To know what happens, we will have to wait till 2024 arrives.

The Team Behind Double iSmart: Cast And Crew 

Ram Pothineni plays the role of Shankar, the main character of this whole story. Other notable cast members include Nabha Naresh, Satyadev, Sayaji Shinde, Nidhi Aggarwal, Puneet Issaar, Ashish Vidyarthi, Aziz Naser, Getup Srinu, Raghu Babu, Raj Shetty, Vikas Sethias, Lekha Prajapati, Madhusudan Rao, and Tulasi. Double iSmart is rumored to launch an all-new heroine in the plot. Recently Sanjay Dutt has joined the cast.

Puri Jagannadh has written and directed iSmart Shankar. He is back again as the director of Double iSmart along with producer Charmme Kaur. meanwhile, you can watch iSmart Shankar on Zee5.
