Is Flight 7500 Based On A True Story? Exploring The Possibilities

In our everyday life, we tend to believe only what we can see, what we can touch. But sometimes, a lot of things happen that remains unheard and unseen – we can just feel them. In those eerie instances, we start to question our own senses. The boundaries between dreams and real lives get mixed up as shivers run down our spines.

The Horror Film genre is famous for experimenting with the terrors and scary feelings of the audience. One such movie is Flight 7500. Initially everything goes alright. The passengers start their journey, some people start enjoying their flight, but soon, things start to go south. We get to see some weird scenarios that cannot be explained with common sense.

But whatever we see on screen, are they real? Is Flight 7500 based on real events? Well, hold on. Just wait for some time. We have gathered every piece of info regarding this. To find out if the film is based on true stories, read the article below.

Is Flight 7500 Based On A True Story? Everything We Know

You must have seen The Grudge, the Japanese horror classic? This time, director Takashi Shimizu has presented us with another one of his works with horrors. The movie is all about a chain of events that happen with the passengers of flight 7500. Paranormal forces and sudden change in atmosphere. Every strange incident is scary, and leaves us terrified. But are the events based on reality?

Well, fortunately, No. The movie is a work of fiction of the writers. Flight 7500 is not based on any true story or any real event. Nothing like this has yet occurred, I mean, at least not known to us. Although the movie does not have any hard-core base, it is loosely based on the events of Flight 522 of Helios Airways that happened back in 2005. The aircraft from Cyprus lost all of its power within minutes of taking off and the crash kills every passenger on board.

Flight 7500: What Happened With Our Passengers?

Flight 7500. The aircraft is departing from Los Angeles – it will end its journey in Tokyo. Seems like a pretty normal flight and a boring journey, right? But for our travellers, it was not the usual journey where you can doze off or watch a movie while snacking on your favourite M&Ms. Initially, the journey begins with a smooth take-off. After some minutes, machineries start going haywire. Is it just the turbulence? Or is there something else?

The plane is already in the air and we can see weird sounds. Remember the flickering lights from Stranger Things? The same thing starts happening here, but there is another twist. Almost every passenger starts to see terrible scenes – some of them start to feel suffocated. As if an invisible entity is trying to choke their airways. Bizarre events start to take place. The passengers might be clueless, but soon, they could feel the presence of an unknown entity.

The film is not at all a documentary of the aforementioned incident. The thriller just takes things up a notch with the writer’s creativity. Strange noises and sudden haunted visions just make the atmosphere unsettling. People start to die and the most chilling fact is, some of the dead bodies changes their positions. Amid paranormal and supernatural activities, Flight 7500 does not seem to reach its destination.

As time passes some of the crew figures out the nature of their impending doom. Soon they start finding cursed dolls. People start getting trapped in bunks. In simpler words, the aircraft no longer remains a simple voyage to Tokyo. It is just a door to unknown dimensions where death is waiting for all of them. To discover what happens, you have to watch this movie.

Flight 7500: The Team Behind This Horror Film

This is not a new movie, but the horror elements present here are golden. Produced by Takashige Ichise, this 2014 American horror film is directed by of course, Takashi Shimizu. Although this was released in Philippines before, CBS Films and Lionsgate took it to the United States on April 2016.

The key characters are played by Leslie Bibb, Jamie Chung, Ryan Kwanten, Amy Stewart, Jerry Ferrara, Nicky Whelan, Alex Frost, Ben Sharples, Scout Taylor-Compton and Christian Serratos.

This is quite an underrated horror film. If you missed it in the theatres, no problem. You can watch Flight 7500 on Netflix and Amazon Prime.
