He later married Taya Studebaker and then went on his first tour to Iraq.

He comes home to them but later needs a psychiatrist as he still gets haunting nightmares from the war scene. He begins to treat wounded veterans in the hospital and later on February 2, 2013, he gets killed by Routh. His memorial service is shown at the end of the movie.

4. Full Metal Jacket (1987)
Full Metal Jacket is a war film released on June 26, 1987, in US and September 11, 1987, in the UK. The film is directed and produced by Stanley Kubrick. The film is based on the novel The Short-Timers written by Gustav Hasford.
The story starts with a group of recruits at Paris Island during the Vietnam War to become Marines. The drill instructor named Hartman used very harsh tactics to make the recruits ready to get into the Marines. Among the recruits were Leonard Lawrence, who was overweight and thus got the nickname “Gomer Pyle” and J.T. Davis named “Joker”.
Joker was asked to improve Pyle, resulting in Pyle getting bullied by the other recruits. Hartman thought that Pyle is improving, but Joker grew suspicious of him having a mental breakdown as he saw him talking to his rifle. Pyle killed Hartman and committed suicide.
Later, in 1968 Joker becomes a sergeant and is reunited with one of his friend’s Sergeant “Cowboy”. Joker experiences lots of hardships in his career. The movie ends with Joker’s narration where he says that he is glad for his life and is no longer afraid.

5. Shooter (2007)
Shooter is an American action film released on March 23, 2007. The film is directed by Antoine Fuqua and is produced by Lorenzo di Bonaventura. The film is distributed by Paramount Pictures.
Corporal Donnie Fenn, the spotter of Force Recon sniper Gunnery Sergeant Bob Lee Swagger is killed in Eritrea when they were trying to cover a mission. Johnson, a retired US Army Colonel sees Swagger’s file and is quite impressed and requests his skills in thwarting the attempts on the life of the President.
Swagger helps him and all his interpretations are proved right with the shots fired at the President’s guest. He gets shot and some of his ammunition is left on the spot. Swagger is kidnapped and tortured for information by Johnson, but all of them are later killed by Swagger.
The investigations regarding the case are done. The movie ends with Swagger killing everyone in the mountain cabin and fleeing away with Sarah.

The plot of the film is based on the Iraq War. Shane Matthews with the help of Sergeant Allen Isaac is out to investigate a pipeline construction site in the desert. A sniper is reported to be hidden there and killing all the contractors and security men. Both of them wait for 22 hours and later think that the site is clear but soon Matthews is shot by the sniper.
The sniper is named “Juba”, who shoots Isaac in his right knee damaging his radio. The sniper is conversating with Isaac with a radio which is tuned into an American channel. Isaac tries to communicate with his headquarters but is unsuccessful due to his antennae being broken. Matthew, who is presumed to be dead is still alive and locates the sniper’s position and shoots past the dusty wind. The sniper shoots him back killing him. Isaac tries to kill the sniper with a rifle. When the sniper does not revert, Isaac thinks that he is either injured or dead. Isaac sits in the helicopter but is shot by the sniper.

They found a few villagers but set them free instead of killing them. The SEALs’ are found by the Taliban who start to kill them. The SEALs’ were outnumbered resulting in the death of three of them. The man on the call asks him to choose one between them and that the other will be shot. The police tapped the phone call and found a corpse and a rifle at the location. The corpse is of the pizza delivery guy but in the end, it is known that the person on the call was someone else.
