Kayla Myers Seeks to Collect Judgment from Soulja Boy’s Various Income Streams

Soulja Boy’s former partner, Kayla Myers, is taking legal action to ensure her judgment is satisfied, even if it means tapping into all current and future sources of his income.

According to court documents obtained by Radar Online, Myers has filed a petition to authorize the seizure of the “Crank That” rapper’s royalties, earnings from Twitch streaming, and profits from his cannabis business until her nearly $500,000 judgment is entirely paid off.

This move comes shortly after a judge granted an order permitting Myers to seize Soulja Boy’s other assets to settle the judgment. It appears that the value of these assets isn’t sufficient to cover the full amount, a point that the “Kiss Me Through The Phone” artist has argued previously.

Last week, Soulja Boy was directed to relinquish his yellow Bentley, a red Lamborghini, a Dodge Charger Hellcat, and a yellow Mercedes-Benz.

The court order, signed on September 29, also stipulates that he must surrender a diamond-studded “Soulja Boy” neck chain valued at $10,000 and a black Cartier watch worth $8,000. Furthermore, any cash amount exceeding $1,000 can be claimed to settle the debt, which is nearly $500,000. Soulja Boy is not allowed to obstruct or interfere with the seizure process, and the Sheriff’s Department can enter his property at any time to collect the property.

In July, the rapper, whose real name is DeAndre Cortez Way, admitted to the courts that despite his public claims of wealth, he does not own the residence he resides in and has an IRS debt of over $1 million.

Soulja Boy disclosed that his assets are limited, including three cars (two valued at $250,000 each and one at $100,000), approximately $18,000 worth of jewelry, and $50,000 worth of stock.

These revelations were an attempt to prevent the courts from imposing the punitive damages awarded to Myers. Despite his efforts, both attempts failed, and Soulja Boy has exhausted all of his appeals.

The rapper was sued by his ex-girlfriend Kayla Myers in 2020 for allegations of assault, battery, and false imprisonment. These purported incidents took place at his Malibu residence and extended over six hours.

While Soulja Boy was not criminally charged for the assault, law enforcement discovered weapons in his home that violated his probation. He denied wrongdoing and held a third party responsible for Myers’ injuries.

Following a jury’s decision in Myers’ favor, Soulja Boy was ordered to pay her $235,000. A key reason he’s seeking a new trial is that soon after, Myers was granted an additional $236,000 in “punitive damages” due to the court’s belief that his actions demonstrated negligence or malice. The total judgment awarded to Myers came close to $500,000.
