Actress Lucy Hale is soaking up the sun on the beaches of Mexico!

The “Pretty Little Liars” star celebrated her 34^th birthday on June 14, 1989, with a trip to Mexico. It’s almost two months later, but fans are happy to finally get to see the photos from her trip!

On Sunday night, the “Pretty Little Liars” star took to Instagram to share a few photos of her relaxing on a beach on the beaches of Mexico. She is wearing a strapless bikini as she smiles with her eyes closed behind her reflective sunglasses. Her long dark hair is tied back behind her as she presses the edge of a popsicle to her lips.

In the caption of this Instagram post, she wrote, “(very) belated birthday trip. only got mildly sunburnt, talked Claire into oyster time, laughed until I was sick and was on a popsicle sugar high the. entire. time. 10/10. Thank you @fspuntamita,” tagging the Four Seasons Resort in Punta Mita, Mexico.

Even though there are no straps covering her shoulders in the popsicle shot, straps from her bikini top reappear on her shoulders as she smiles at the camera. She is still wearing her sunglasses, although this time, she has also donned a bright yellow baseball cap as she reclines barefoot on a white towel with an open book beside her.

Fans were absolutely in love with the beautiful location in her photographs. “Best place ever,” one fan commented. “I want to go there!” another follower exclaimed. “Beautiful,” a third fan chimed in. “You look so good,” another follower agreed. “I love you so much. you’ll always be one of my favorite women ever. Lucy Has Been Candid About The ‘Dark Time’ In Her Life After ‘Pretty Little Liars’ Ended

The positive comments from fans are much appreciated, as the actress admitted to going through a “dark time” after “Pretty Little Liars” ended in 2017. She played the character of Aria Montgomery for seven years on the Freeform teenage drama. After the show ended, Lucy reflected on the “crazy experience” that it was being on the show for so long in an interview with People magazine.

“It was such a crazy experience to be a part of something that was massive on a global scale,” she said in 2021. “The show changed our lives overnight. We were so young, so busy and over­ worked. But you’re up on this mountain, and you’re like, ‘Every­ thing is so great! People love us!’”

“When you step outside of that, you’re like, ‘That’s not normal,’” she continued. “After the show ended, it was a dark time in my life. It made me realize, ‘Oh God, I actually don’t know what I like about myself.’”

“I just really had to hang out with myself,” she explained. “I’m at a point now where I love what I do, but I also like who I am outside of that. That, to me, is a big accomplishment because I didn’t know if I’d ever be able to say that about myself.”

Even though she has been in a handful of major projects since “Pretty Little Liars” ended, like “Ragdoll” and “The Hating Game,” she said that the simple pleasures in life are what make her the happiest.

“I love waking up with my dogs and drinking my coffee and watching the sunrise from my home in Los Angeles,” she recalled. “I used to think one day I’d have these big hobbies, but it’s more just quiet moments with myself. I don’t know if it’s because work constantly pulls me in a million different directions, but I love solitude. It’s not unusual for me to not do anything social for months at a time.”

She also turns to exercise to improve her mental health. “I listen to what my body needs, and so I mix it up,” she said. “I love Pilates and yoga, and I do strength training twice a week. I live across from a hiking trail, and I try to go every day for some quiet time.”

Unplugging also helps the “Truth or Dare” actress find peace. “It’s hard when you’re online, and you’re on your phone, and you see all these beautiful people, and you think you’re supposed to look like that,” she said. “I think that one really sad thing about the internet is it can rip away how you feel about yourself, and it’s just such a shame. I limit my time on my phone these days to keep me in higher spirits.”

“In our industry, I do feel a responsibility to be open and honest, but I also have to take care of my mental health,” she continued. “Feeling like I have to please so many people made me hate myself. I can’t live my life wondering what people think of me.”

“I hope people like me, of course. And I hope people relate to what I’m saying, but if they don’t, that’s not my problem,” she added. “Your relationship with yourself is the most important relationship you’ll ever have in your life.”
