Maksim Chmerkovskiy is painting the town red with his son Shai.

The doting father-of-two is back again with some sweet uploads for the timeline as he shows off what he and his adorable firstborn has been up to on their recent Trip to Napa and New York. The father and son duo take this bonding trip ahead of the six-year-old starting first-grade school.

The “Dancing With the Stars” pro took to Instagram to share an update of himself and Shai having an exciting time on their recent gateway. The video started with the pair approaching a private plane with their baggage.

The first-grader, sporting a grey shirt, black shorts, and a red cap, looked amazed when he saw the aircraft and thrilled when it started moving. From there, the post showed how the two spent their time on the trip.

They played Tennis, went on ice cream dates, played with ducks, and attended Chmerkovskiy’s wine-tasting show together—Shai moved around some chairs and wiped down some tables for the event.

They spend quality time with family as Shai is seen in the pool with his cousin. Meanwhile, the Latin–ballroom dance champion hung out with his brother Val and his wife, Jenna Johnson. He also had his morning coffee and filmed his son eating different meals.

Before the video ended, the loving dad asked, “What was the best part of the trip,” to which Shai replied, “Getting some comic books,” and proceeded to show the ones he got, including “Black Panther.” At last, he headed back, using the same plane they came in.  

If the video wasn’t proof enough, the post’s caption detailed the trip. Chmerkovskiy wrote, “Our boys trip to Napa recap! Shai came to hang out with me, meet up with his NY homie, chill with his cousin, aunt, and uncle, and obviously to help with setting up the @savorafterhours stage!”

He further acknowledged that he tears up “knowing that my first newborn is about to go to the first grade,” adding, “I’ve been so close to him the entire time he was growing up and somehow it still feels like 6 years flew by in an instant.”

“I can’t wait” is no longer in my vocabulary when it comes to my life. I feel like I’m speeding it all up when I say that. Right now, I just want the time to slow way down, and l’d love to relieve every moment of last weekend again and again…,” the 43-year-old continued.

Conclusively, he thanked some people, including his sister-in-law, for “making [the trip] all exactly what it was.” Underneath the IG update, many followers were thrilled to see glimpses of the expedition, including his wife, Peta Murgatroyd, who replied, “[big] thanks to auntie @jennajohnson.”

Similarly, the youngster’s mom also bonded with him earlier this month, as reported by The Blast. Murgatroyd, who just welcomed the couple’s second son Rio John a month ago, spent time with Shai and gushed about his budding tennis skill.

In the heartwarming updates, an instructor kept directing the pre-teenager as they played Tennis. Shai’s chest was not covered, but he wore a Nike tracksuit, grey sports shoes, and a face cap.

In the first clip, the coach voiced, “I’m sweating more than you. You can’t go home until you are sweating.”— the loving mother attached the remark to her write-up across the post, including: “HAHA COACH SERGEY. SO PROUD OF MY BIG BOY @SHAI.ALEKSANDER.”

The second post was the same, but without fail, Shai was sharpening his skills. The post’s caption read: “HE LOVES HIS TENNIS. I CALL HIM MY LITTLE LLEYTON HEWITT WE WILL MAYBE BEGIN TOURNAMENTS NEXT YEAR IF HE STILL LOVES IT:).”

Another time the doting father-of-two impressed fans with his dad role was when he shared a snap with his two precious babies. Chmerkovskiy’s post featured the newborn sleeping in his arms while his big brother admired from the side.

The six-year-old was shirtless on the upper body but wore multi-colored shorts. He placed his head on his father’s arm and lightly touched Rio’s body with his right hand. The choreographer matched his son’s naked chest.

Chmerkovskiy covered his bottom half with a white duvet and protected some parts of his bare chest with a white blanket with blue-and-red stripes. “New favorite pic of all time! Father of two,” Chmerkovskiy captioned the sweet image, referencing his wife by writing “Est 2017” and “#MadeInPeta.” 

Fans of the pro dancer flooded the comment section with compliments and praises. One fan penned, “Shai’s face is so precious,” while a second chimed, “Congratulations, Maks. Your full and happy heart is in your smile.”

A third enthusiastically exclaimed, “Shai looks so happy and mesmerized by his new brother! A new generation of Chmerkovskiy brothers!!! Congrats Max and Peta, on your beautiful family!”
