SlamBall, founded in 2000, is finally making a comeback after a several-year hiatus.

The sport, which combines elements of basketball, football, hockey, and trampolines, will air its 2023 season on ESPN beginning tonight, July 21, and fans are already excited.

Tony Crosby II, who is a former track star at Grand Canyon University and an International Slam Dunk Champion, will be part of the 2023 Slamball season. Ahead of its launch, the 5’6” player is sharing some insane SlamBall shots to social media, completely wowing his fan base.

Tony Crosby II is considered one of the greatest SlamBall players, and will be part of the 2023 SlamBall season, which will air on ESPN. Ahead of the season debut, Crosby is sharing some videos of his SlamBall shots, one of which left fans jaws on the floor.

“QUADRUPLE TWEEN BACK TO BACK!!!!,” he captioned the video.

Fans couldn’t believe the play that Crosby II made as they took to the comments section to share their thoughts. “When you press all the buttons on the controller & end up doing a dunk you ain’t know you could do ,” one fan wrote as another chimed in, “The best to do it.”

Another called Crosby II “GREATNESS” as one user commented, “Bruh this is so crazy lol.’

The Grand Canyon University alum shared another video of him making an insane SlamBall shot to Instagram last week, which, again, left fans speechless.

He hilariously captioned the video, “1 MILLION LIKES OR IM RETIRING FROM SLAMBALL.”

Fans immediately took to the comments section to share their thoughts on the shot. “1.That’s absolutely filthy 2. You had to think you were going to die,” one fan wrote as another chimed in, “Nah bro u gotta chill out on that.”

One user expressed, “You ima dunk on everyone in here > Me Tony don’t get hurt” as another fan commented, “Nahhh that look like WWE .”

Meanwhile, another SlamBall fan commented on how dangerous the sport can be, writing, “Any thing can happen in this game..I’ve seen it all..Be prepared an protect urself at all times..”

What Is SlamBall?

SlamBall is a form of basketball and is played with four trampolines in front of each net and boards around the court edge. Although it is considered a form of basketball, it is also a contact sport like football as blocks, collisions and rough physical play is all part of the game.

The sport was originally founded in 2000 by Mason Gordon with some of his friends as they played on a makeshift court in a warehouse. Two seasons of SlamBall were aired on SpikeTV in 2002 and 2003, but then took a several-year hiatus. Now, it is making a comeback as the 2023 season will kick off tonight, July 21, exclusively on ESPN.
