‘Irate’ Disney Guest Sends Cast Member To Hospital After Argument

A Walt Disney World Guest became “irate” after a ride broke down, causing a delay in experiencing the attraction.

The Guest then got into an altercation with a Walt Disney World Cast Member, sending the employee to the hospital due to injuries.

Seth Davis, 39, was visiting Walt Disney World from San Bernardino, California. Davis was in line at EPCOT’s Remy’s Ratatouille Adventure, when suddenly the ride had technical difficulties and caused the line to stop moving, according to the Orange County Sheriff’s report obtained by WDWNT.

Once Davis learned the ride was no longer operating, he became “irate” and “verbally aggressive” with a Disney World Cast Member. A manager then came over to help with the situation, which is when Davis demanded he receive a Lightning Lane pass for when the ride reopened. Lightning Lane allows Guests to bypass the Stand By line and experience the ride quicker, though it usually comes at an extra price.

The manager began using her tablet to try and issue Davis a Lightning Lane, however, the tablet was running slow and experienced issues of its own, including not scanning Davis’s Park admission ticket, which made him angrier, according to the report.

The manager decided to try and grab another tablet to see if that one would work quicker, but that is when Davis “slapped the tablet out of [the manager’s] left hand, causing it to hit the right side of her rib cage and fall on the ground,” the report stated.

The manager immediately told other staff that “she had been hit,” and was then transported to an AdventHealth emergency room at Flamingo Crossings Town Center with minor injuries to her left hand and her rib cage.

The manager’s injuries were photographed and taken in for evidence. Davis was arrested as the police stated they had probable cause that he committed battery, also noting they had two independent witnesses who saw what happened.

Davis admitted that “he became so upset during the argument with [the manager] that he reached out and slapped the tablet out of [the manager’s] hand in a lack of judgment,” per the report.

Last month, Davis pleaded not guilty to a misdemeanor battery charge.

Disney Guest Caught Watching Porn On A Ride

Disney Parks

This is not the first incident to occur at Remy’s Ratatouille Adventure at EPCOT as back in April, The Blast reported a Disney Guest from New Jersey was caught smoking, watching pornography, exposing himself, and masturbating while on a ride at EPCOT in Walt Disney World.

Cast Members were first suspicious of Fitzpatrick when he asked to be seated in the ride vehicle at Remy’s Ratatouille Adventure by himself. Typically, the ride vehicle is filled with multiple Guests as it can sit up to six individuals, so the fact that Fitzpatrick wanted a car all to himself raised questions.

Most Disney attractions are equipped with security cameras for the safety of both Guests and Cast Members, which are being monitored by staff. The report noted that when watching the security cameras, multiple Cast Members saw Fitzpatrick smoke and then proceed to touch himself.

Robert Fitzpatrick, 36, was arrested and charged with a misdemeanor of exposing himself, according to reports.
