The three-horse race for the StarTimes Uganda Premier League title resumes on Tuesday, May 16 when all the contenders; Vipers SC, KCCA FC and SC Villa, will be in action.
Going into Tuesday’s games, Vipers, KCCA and Villa who are first, second and third respectively on the 15-team log, have 46 points apiece from 25 games. They are only separated by goal difference; Vipers at 19, KCCA 15 and Villa with a paltry five.
All eyes will be on the current table leaders and defending Champions Vipers who host Express FC at the St Mary’s stadium, Kitende.
On paper, this is the biggest game of the day. Former champions Express FC are coming off 0-0 draw with KCCA last Saturday, May 13 while Vipers also shared spoils with bottom Onduparaka FC in their last game.
KCCA host BUL FC in a potential banana skin affair for the home side at the Phillip Omondi stadium while SC Villa make a trick trip to Bombo Military Barracks where the Jogoos take on army side, UPDF FC.
For the three title rivals, there is no room for error. Any slip-up could become costly as the title race goes to the wire.
