This Disney World ‘Speakeasy’ Is A MUST Do On Your Next Trip

Walt Disney World is often considered a kid’s theme park, but for those traveling 21 years of age or older, there are plenty of things to do for you, including one-of-a-kind themed bars!

Over at Disney’s Animal Kingdom, there is a “hidden” bar that not many people know about, but I highly recommend checking it out on your next Disney World trip.

Restaurantosaurus Lounge

Over in DinoLand, U.S.A., at Disney’s Animal Kingdom Park, located near the DINOSAUR attraction, Guests will find the Restaurantosaurus quick-service dining area, but did you know that inside the restaurant, there is a bar/lounge? I have often described the Restaurantosaurus Lounge location to friends and family as a “speakeasy” since not many people visit or even know it exists!

Restaurantasurus Lounge is a fun dino-themed bar/lounge and is one of my favorite spots on Walt Disney World property.

You can find the bar by walking through the quick-service dining area to the back or, if you are outside, looking for the small sign at the back of the building, as a back entrance leads you directly into the lounge area.

Inside, you will find a handful of tables and chairs and a small pop-up bar- all indoors- so you can enjoy your cocktail while cooling off in the air conditioning!

One of my favorite hidden lounges at Disney’s Animal Kingdom is Restaurantosarus Lounge, located right next to Restaurantosarus and across from DINOSAUR. #disney #disneyworld #waltdisneyworld #disneyparks #waltdisneyworldparks #florida #orlando #floridalife #wdw #animalkingdom #disneyfood #disneydrinks

The bar/lounge is tiny, but it offers a full bar and even specialty drinks such as the Tequilasaurus, a tart margarita, or the Fermented Fossil, a minty mojito. My favorite is the Carnotaurus Meteoritis — a sour bourbon, and let me tell you, this drink is packed with a punch!

The theming is one of my favorite things about this pop-up bar. The entire restaurant is supposed to be a dino-themed dorm for paleontology students. Looking around, you will notice props set up throughout the dining area, including fossils, books, and other fun antiques.

And although they do not offer light bites or food, Restaurantosaurus is located within the same building, so you can order lunch or dinner at the quick-service location and bring it back into the lounge to enjoy with your beverage of choice.

Special Secret Menu For Select Guests

And if you are a Walt Disney World Annual Passholder, there is a unique secret menu just for you! All you have to do is show your valid Annual Pass card, and the bartender will show you the personal menu, which consists of the following:

  • Tyrannosaurus Wreck: Blue Curacao, Creme de Cassis, Rum, Tito’s Vodka, Hendrick’s Gin, and Sweet and Sour
  • Fossil Fuel: Midori, Tito’s Vodka, Sweet & Sour, and Lime Juice
  • Pterodactyl Punch: Coconut Rum, Blue Curacao, and Pineapple; I believe I saw a floater of Spiced Rum on top
Tricaberry Pop (non-alcoholic): Lemonade, Wildberry Syrup, Cranberry Juice, and Sprite

Overall, I recommend checking out Restaurantosaurus Lounge on your next Walt Disney World vacation!
