Gaddafi FC Upset Bright Stars 1-0 in the StarTimes Uganda Premier League match played on Friday, April 7 at the Kavumba Recreation grounds.

Yosa Asiki netted the lone winning goal for visiting Gaddafi, who moved to sixth position on the 15-team log (with 28 points from 20 games) after this victory.

Bright Stars suffered their fourth loss in five recent leagues and drop to tenth position with 24 points from 20 games.

Action continues Saturday, April 8 with table leaders SC Villa taking on Wakiso Giants at Kabaka Kyabaggu stadium; BUL FC host Express FC at the FUFA Technical Centre in Njeru while defending champions Vipers SC welcome relegation-bound Blacks Power FC at the St Mary’s stadium, Kitende.

The game at Kitende will be played under floodlights.

Both KCCA and Vipers need to win their games to keep pace with SC Villa, who go into Saturday’s encounter against Wakiso Giants with a three-point advantage at the top.

Villa lead on 40 points from 20 games while KCCA are second with 37 points from 18 matches. Vipers are fourth with 29 points from 16 games.
