It was there, in the midst of a foreign land, Kumaran regained consciousness, emerging from his prolonged slumber with an electrifying transformation. To everyone’s astonishment, Kumaran discovered that he had acquired extraordinary powers fueled by the very source of his fateful encounter—the lightning bolt. Through some mysterious force, he became a conduit for electrical energy, capable of channeling it through his body. With a mere gesture, he could summon and control electric arcs, emanating raw power from his fingertips.

How Do Kumaran’s Premonitions Guide Him Back To Veeranor? 

Years have passed, and Kumaran has matured into a remarkable young man. Throughout these years, not a single day has gone by without him being haunted by a recurring nightmare. Initially perplexed by its significance, Kumaran’s heart tugs at him, urging him to return to Veeranor. Though he claims to be back because he misses his father and friends, the truth is that he has been away for 14 long years, possibly because his own extraordinary powers had become a source of confusion over time. As Kumaran sets foot in Veeranor once again, a flood of nostalgic memories washes over him. However, entwined within those cherished recollections is a creeping fear tied to his haunting nightmare—a foreboding that suggests its impending manifestation. 

His intuition leads him to uncover a grave threat lurking amidst the 26 villages connected by a colossal cable. While the cable was initially promised to bring free electricity to the public, it conceals a sinister secret. Unbeknownst to the unsuspecting villagers, it serves as a conduit for a catastrophic explosion devised by none other than a psychopathic scientist named Sarath. But the allure of free electricity dangled as a tantalizing prospect has cast a spell over the villagers, blinding them to the nefarious agenda that lies beneath the surface. Seduced by the prospect of a brighter future, they willingly turn a blind eye to the warning signs and red flags that Kumaran’s premonitions and instincts have unveiled.

Initially intended to pacify Kumaran’s fits, the bracelet takes on a significant role as it becomes seamlessly integrated into his body. Acting as a conduit, it redirects and channels his powers in a harmonious manner, allowing Kumaran to finally harness and control the extraordinary electricity flowing through him. To this day, Kumaran maintains his belief that the bracelet acts as a safeguard, protecting him due to its exceptional conductivity for electricity. Unbeknownst to Kumaran, the Veeran-blessed bracelet holds a much deeper significance than he could have ever imagined. Beyond its role as a conductor of electricity, it conceals a divine purpose, intricately woven by Veeran himself, to save the people of his village.

How Does Kumaran Convince The Village Of Veeran’s Return And Restore Their Faith?

In his mission to prevent the impending disaster caused by the cable project, Kumaran takes an unconventional approach to convince the villagers to keep their land instead of selling it. Recognizing the power of belief and the significance of Veeran’s story in protecting Veeranor from harm, Kumaran resorts to spreading rumors throughout the town. By weaving a narrative that Veeran will return if the land is sold, Kumaran taps into the villagers’ collective consciousness and their deep-rooted faith in Veeran’s ability to safeguard their community. With his ultimate plan set in motion, Kumaran takes on the role of Veeran himself, using his powers and clever tactics to convince the villagers that their demigod has returned. Kumaran is determined to do everything in his power to prevent harm from befalling the village. Using his remarkable abilities, Kumaran creates a mesmerizing display of blue-colored lightning rays around the temple, a spectacle that captures the attention and awe of the villagers. By manifesting the power associated with Veeran, Kumaran successfully instills a sense of reverence and fear, signaling the demigod’s displeasure at the impending destruction of the temple. Undeterred by the physical strain it places on him, Kumaran, donning Veeran’s attire, mounts his horse and rides forth to protect the sacred temple from demolition. His courageous act serves as a rallying cry, inspiring the villagers to trust and follow Veeran once again. 

How Does Veeran Save The Villagers From Thruv?

Kumaran finds himself locked in a battle of wits with Thruv, Sarath’s brother, who becomes increasingly agitated by the villagers’ refusal to sign away their land. Determined to protect his community, Kumaran harnesses his powers to manipulate Thruv’s mind, thwarting his attempts to carry out his nefarious plans. Aware of Kumaran’s interference, Thruv deploys a monitoring device to identify the perpetrator responsible for obstructing his efforts. With the help of police, Thruv captures the villagers in a series of wrongful arrests, subjecting them to unjust treatment at the hands of corrupt police officers. 

Thruv coldly observes the unfolding chaos through the CCTV feed, reveling in the suffering inflicted upon the innocent. When Sakkarai’s grandfather becomes a victim of the brutality, Kumaran’s patience wears thin. Filled with righteous anger, he employs a clever distraction by summoning his horse to the police station, creating the illusion that Veeran himself has arrived. The sudden appearance of the majestic steed captivates and bewilders everyone, diverting their attention from the ongoing injustice. Seizing the opportunity, Kumaran harnesses the full extent of his powers, unleashing a force that engulfs everyone present, including Thruv. 

How Does Kumaran Put An End To The Project?

Sarath discovers Kumaran’s true identity as Veeran and hatches a devious plan to eliminate him. Employing a potent nitrogen injection, Sarath attempts to neutralize Kumaran’s powers and gain control over his mind. However, the unique electromagnetic field within Kumaran’s body renders him impervious to death, though his powers are temporarily diminished. While Kumaran remains unconscious, Thruv, under Sarath’s command, leads a group of men to destroy the sacred Veeran temple. Simultaneously, Sarath relentlessly injects more nitrogen into Kumaran’s body in an attempt to end his life. But the timely intervention of some brave villagers rescues Kumaran from his perilous situation.

Reinvigorated by the villagers’ aid, Kumaran engages in a fierce one-on-one battle with Sarath and escapes, despite his weakened state. Though he struggles to fend off Thruv’s attacks, Kumaran’s determination remains unyielding. Suddenly, an electric pole collapses, landing on Kumaran’s hands and rekindling his powers. Empowered by this surge of electricity, Kumaran removes his protective bracelet, channeling his inner strength and unleashing a massive ball of lightning toward Thruv. The devastating blast proves fatal, bringing an end to Thruv’s menacing presence.

‘Veeran’ Ending Explained: What Happens To Sarath?

In the beginning, Kumaran weaves a fabricated story about Veeran’s temple, describing a hidden chamber beneath the pyramid statue where Veeran is depicted riding a horse. Initially meant to deceive, Kumaran’s tale takes an unexpected turn when Sakkarai’s grandfather confirms its authenticity, leaving everyone, including Kumaran himself, astounded by how his spontaneous words align with the truth. This revelation rekindles Kumaran’s faith in Veeran as he witnesses the power of destiny unfolding before his eyes. As the climax approaches, fate or perhaps a stroke of coincidence intervenes, preventing the excavator from destroying the temple. Instead, it inadvertently causes an electric pole to be struck, becoming a source of power for Kumaran. This fortuitous event becomes a symbol of his renewed connection with Veeran’s divine strength.

The movie’s satisfying conclusion is carefully crafted, showcasing poetic justice for Sarath. Ironically, the lethal injection he devised to eliminate Kumaran becomes his own demise. The villagers, who had unintentionally saved Kumaran, inadvertently administer the fatal injection to Sarath. This highlights the consequences of Sarath’s callous disregard for human life, placing his project above all else. The forces of fate or a higher power deliver him the pain and retribution he so callously inflicted upon others.
