Bambai Meri Jaan: The Story

The streaming platform Prime Video’s Bambai Meri Jaan web series, releasing on the 14th September, draws inspiration from ‘Dogri to Dubai’ – a story by Hussain Zaidi. The 10-episode series is about moral conflicts and some high-intensity action. A cop – Ismail Kadri – known for his virtue and integrity, is on the lookout for organized crime in Mumbai, while his son – Dara Kadri – is on his way to becoming an important part of the same underworld.

The young and talented Dara Kadri is known for his business acumen, but his attraction to the booming underworld of his time is rather scary. The story highlights his journey to the dark side, and the makers have crafted it just right! Filled with gripping and dramatic turns, the show will surely be binge worthy.

Bambai Meri Jaan: The Cast And Actors

The web series has an ensemble cast starring Kay Kay Menon, Kritika Kamra, Saurav Sachdeva, and Avinash Tiwary in the major roles. Kay Kay Menon has been terrific in Prime’s thriller Farzi, released earlier this year, and is as convincing here as a righteous police officer. The fans are rooting for his performance in the show and have called him an “underrated superstar” on social media.

Avinash Tiwary plays a gangster; if you watch the trailer, he looks simply awesome in his role. The complicated emotions underneath all the violence and crime throughout the series are astounding and make the audience eagerly wait for its release.

Kritika Kamra, Amyra Dastur, and Nivedita Bhattacharya are perfect in their respective roles in the web series trailer – let’s hope the show has a promising arc and does justice to its female characters.

Bambai Meri Jaan: The Setting

Now that we have discussed the cast and the story in this pre review of Bambai Meri Jaan Let me tell you what makes the series even more thrilling. It’s 1960s Mumbai – with its alleys, lanes, rain, old houses, and skyline. Everything adds to the thrill aspect. Like many gangster genre films and shows, the dim lighting and warm tones do their bit to make all of it look a little more intense.

Bambai Meri Jaan: Dialogues

The trailer does quite a bit to tell the audience that the dialogues of Bambai Meri Jaan will be spot on. It opens with A kid with a determined gaze. At the same time, the voice-over says, “Burai bhi achchhai se paida hoti hai” (the good begets the evil), And an obscure silhouette of men walking with guns. In contrast, the narrator says, “Shaitan ko bhi uparwaale ne paida kia hai” (the evil is made by god as well) already creates tension.

The makers clearly want us to expect Intense and sometimes thought-provoking dialogue throughout the show. This and the storyline will ensure the viewers are never lost during the entire run-time.

Bambai Meri Jaan: Action and Drama

The pre review of Bambai Meri Jaan doesn’t really have to spell it out, especially if you have seen the trailer, but the gangster genre is incomplete without some chase, action, violence, and maybe gore. By the looks of it, this show has all of it and much more. A story about a scary underworld is not for the faint-hearted, and the show doesn’t shy away.

Expect some family drama and a little romance along the way, plus the thrills that it promises.
