Glory Smart Emenuwe, a Nigerian woman from the Delta State hamlet of Ezhionum, has described how her own Mother tried to murder her without a good reason.

The 21-year-old woman described in a video interview with a local news site, Ukwani Trumpet, how her mother cut off her two hands and sliced her face with a matchet. 

Glory, who revealed that the incident happened in 2013 when she was 12 years old, claimed that her mother had hit her with the weapon while she was being escorted to the back of the home to urinate at night and permanently damaged her. 

The young lady acknowledged that she was unaware of her mother's motivation but pointed out that she was now deceased.

She said, 

It may be compared to an accident because I had no idea what would occur. But it was my mother who slashed open my face and chopped off my hands. 

When I was very small and needed to go to the bathroom in the middle of the night on that fateful day, my Father requested my mother to accompany me by torchlight to the back of our house so I could do it. 

I didn't notice my mother's Machete was in her hand when I knelt to urinate. I then recall her approaching me with the machete and falling to the ground. She kept cutting me all over my body as I was on the ground, and I was screaming. At that point, my father ran outside, grabbed the machete from her, and sounded the alarm to summon the neighbors. 

Unfortunately, my mother had already succeeded in her goal by the time my father hurried outside. My father intended to attack her with the machete as well, but the neighbors stopped him. My father then called the police to have my mother taken into custody. She's now running late, though. In 2013, the incident took place in Edo State. 

Glory, who claims that her health has only allowed her to complete her primary schooling, is asking for money to start a business so she can support herself or continue her education.
