What are the top things to do in Arisaig? Here’s my bullet list of Arisaig things to do. I’ll be expanding it over time but thought I may as well throw this up for people to use in the meantime!

It’s not a complete list as there are lots more walks and places to eat, etc. but hopefully there’s enough to keep you going. There’s also a link to a leaflet of more walks in the Mallaig, Arisaig and Morar at the bottom.

Arisaig Things To Do

• Get some target practice at Arisaig Archery – see more here
• Visit Lands, Sea and Islands Centre – learn local history, do kids’ activities, watch wildlife, buy gifts, local books, etc – see more here
• Have elevenses at the Boathouse Cafe at Arisaig Marina with a wonderful view
• Take a boat trip to Eigg – see more here
• Go sea kayaking – with Arisaig Sea Kayak Centre or bring your own
• Book Arisaig Wildlife Cruise – see more here
• Relax on Arisaig Sunset Cruise –check Arisaig Marine social media or Boathouse Cafe notice board
• Watch the Jacobite Steam Train – see more here
• Play a round of golf at Traigh Golf Club
• Enjoy lunch at retro music-themed Soundbites (next to the Spar)
• Climb Creag Mhor (the big hill at the back) – start from near Arisaig Station or under the railway bridge down the KInloid road (not suitable for campervans)
• Walk to Rhu
• Look for crabs around Arisaig Marina
• Have a shellfish picnic on Camusdarach beach from Arisaig Shellfish Shack
• Enjoy live music and good food at the Crofters Rest, Arisaig Hotel
• Visit the woodland garden with native and exotic plants Larachmor Garden
• Hire a bike at Arisaig Hotel and cycle along the coast road to Morar and along the loch side to the Chapel of Inverbeg – order tasty bread or pastries from Arisaig Bread Shed to take for your lunch
• Take a train to Glenfinnan Station for scenic views, visit Glenfinnan Station Museum, have coffee and cake at the converted train compartment cafe, watch the steam train come in, take a walk down the hill to the monument and visitor centre – see more here or book train here

• Walk from Loch Morar to Tarbet and ferry back to Mallaig – see more here
