The most popular vinyl LP of the year thus far has been officially determined to be Harry Styles’ most recent album, ‘Harry’s House’. The third solo album by the former member of ‘One Direction’ was released in May and includes the record-breaking Number One hit ‘As It Was’.

Styles has converted 60,000 copies of ‘Harry’s House’ to vinyl since its release, more than any other LP this year, according to the Official Charts Company.

In addition, Styles’ self-titled debut from 2017 came in at Number 37, while his second album, ‘Fine Line,’ debuted at Number 27 on the list of the biggest full-length vinyl of 2022. Fontaines D.C.‘s ‘Skinty Fia’ came in at Number 5, followed by Muse‘s ‘Will Of The People’ at Number 4, Wet Leg‘s self-titled debut at Number 3 and Liam Gallagher‘s ‘C’mon You Know’ at Number Two.

Styles overtook Elton John’s 1997 song ‘Candle In The Wind ‘(which spent 14 weeks at Number One) to become the longest-reigning British musician to have a single tune at the top of the charts last month.

Along with surpassing the aforementioned ‘Candle In The Wind,’ ‘As It Was’ also became the solo artist’s song with the longest-running number-one position, overtaking Whitney Houston’s ‘I Will Always Love You’ (1992) and Mariah Carey’s ‘We Belong Together’ (2005).

With ‘Harry’s House’ and ‘As It Was,’ respectively, Styles accomplished the extraordinary feat of concurrently holding the Number One album and Number One track titles in a number of nations in May. In August, Harry Styles disclosed that he was already brainstorming ideas for his fourth studio album.

In an effort to continue his massive ‘Love On Tour,’ he is scheduled to visit the UK and Ireland again next summer.
