Rihanna will be heading the Super Bowl! On social media, the superstar hinted about her headlining performance.
The 34-year-old starlet fueled the suspicions in September, by posting a picture on Instagram, of herself holding an NFL-branded football, after reports surfaced that she was in talks to perform at the 2023 Apple Music Super Bowl Halftime Show.
Roc Nation’s Tweet, which featured the identical picture RiRi had shared, was quickly retweeted by the NFL, who then gave the announcement. The label and management company’s tweet was captioned “Let’s GO.” The NFL also shared a picture of Rihanna holding a football on their official Twitter account. Super Bowl LVII will be held at State Farm Stadium in Glendale, Arizona in February 2023.
Hamish Hamilton will serve as director for the Apple Music Super Bowl Halftime Show telecast, which will be produced by DPS with Roc Nation and Jesse Collins serving as executive producers. Additionally, Roc Nation will act as the live performance’s strategic entertainment advisors.
A star-studded performance featuring Dr. Dre, Eminem, Snoop Dogg, Mary J. Blige and Kendrick Lamar took the stage at SoFi Stadium in Los Angeles for the 2022 Super Bowl Halftime Show. The Weeknd, Lady Gaga and Beyoncé were some of the other previous performers in recent years.
