Nigerian Maths Genius Graduated From UK Varsity at 13, Earns PhD at the age of 16

A young and brilliant Nigerian British Mathematics genius identified as Esther Okade has successfully earned her bachelor’s degree in Financial Mathematics from UK Open Varsity at the age of 13 after an outstanding performance since from her childhood.

The brilliant girl who is a maths genius since from childhood was said to have started solving some tough mathematics questions including quadratic equation and others when she was three (3) years old.

At the age of 6-year old, the brilliant maths genius was awarded an outstanding grade, C in GCSE maths, and she qualified to sit A-Level maths examination.

According to her mother, Omonefe Okade, Esther had wanted to enrol at university at the age of 7,  and immediately after her outstanding performance in GCSE, she was invited to study mathematics at the prestigious University of Cambridge in United Kingdom.

According Esther’s parents, they had homeschooled her since from her childhood and in 2015 when she was 10-years-old, and they enrolled her at the Open University (a UK-based distance learning college) for a bachelor’s degree course in mathematics which make her the youngest ever undergraduate student in UK Varsity.

A few weeks after the young Esther got enrolled at university, she got straight A’s and ultimately became the best student in her class. She described her first test as “easy” after scoring a perfect 100% grade.

“It’s so interesting. It has the type of maths I love. It’s real maths — theories, complex numbers, all that type of stuff, it was super easy. My mum taught me in a nice way.” 

“I want to (finish the course) in two years. Then I’m going to do my PhD in financial maths when I’m 13. I want to have my own bank by the time I’m 15 because I like numbers and I like people and banking is a great way to help people,”

She told CNN

The young girl, Esther graduated with a Bachelor’s degree in Financial Mathematics at the age of 13 years old and three years later, she earned her PhD degree in Financial Mathematics from the prestigious University in UK.

The 16-year-old Mathematics genius is well on her way to achieve all her dreams at such a young age having reached an outstanding academic performance in school.
