About Access Bank Womenpreneur Pitch-a-ton Africa

The Womenpreneur Pitch-a-ton Africa, launched in 2019, was the first program of its kind in the sector given by the Access Bank W Initiative. The program’s first edition offered 50 Nigerian women entrepreneurs free mini MBA certifications, along with financial grants totaling N5 million to the top 5 candidates. With the International Finance Corporation, it accomplished this (IFC, a member of the World Bank Group).

The program is being expanded this year to nine other African nations where Access Bank’s W project is active. The tag name “Womenpreneur Pitch-A-Ton Africa” comes from the fact that these nations include Nigeria, Ghana, Rwanda, Zambia, Sierra Leone, Gambia, Kenya, Mozambique, South Africa, and Congo.

Women-owned enterprises in Africa have the chance to access funding, top-notch business training, and mentoring opportunities thanks to the Womenpreneur Pitch-a-ton Africa 2022 Campaign. This program has been created to provide a supportive atmosphere for female company owners to expand their enterprises.

The Womenpreneur Pitch-a-ton Africa 2022 will offer an innovative capacity-building program and a financial grant of up to N5 million to support the empowerment of female entrepreneurs. In conjunction with the IFC, the three-month curriculum includes pitching sessions and eight weeks of mini-MBA instruction.

Interested individuals who meet the requirements from Nigeria, Ghana, Zambia, Rwanda, and, with extension, Sierra Leone, Gambia, & Congo are asked to submit an online application. The 500 individuals who were chosen from this pool will then submit a 60-second video pitch, which will be reviewed by a reputable team of business professionals to determine the 50 finalists.
