The Nigerian Army has been praised by the Governor of Adamawa State, Rt. Hon. Ahmadu Umaru Fintiri, for its efforts to uphold security and stability in the region.
The General Officer Commanding (GOC) 3 Division and Commander Operation SAFE HAVEN (OPSH), Major General Ibrahim Ali, made the Governor a courtesy visit at Government House Yola on August 14, 2022, during which the Governor bestowed the commendation.
The governor, who expressed his love for the state’s ongoing peace and prosperity, praised the military as a noble profession deserving of respect from the populace.
Fintiri claimed that the Nigerian Army had made significant sacrifices so that civilians can live in peace, theGazetteNGR learned.
The state’s formal security issues are progressively fading, according to Governor Fintiri. He insisted that in order to build on their success, the military needed the real support of the populace.
Major General Ibrahim Ali, the GOC and Commander OPSH, had earlier praised the state’s citizens for actively participating in assisting the forces by contributing information.
He claimed that Adamawa state has recently experienced significant growth and advancement.
According to him, peace is the only environment in which such progress can take place.
The GOC also informed the Governor about the Third Quarter Seminar and Workshop for Veterans Affairs at Army Headquarters that would be held in the state.
