The National Stakeholders Summit on the 2023 Population and Housing Census will be opened by President Muhammadu Buhari on Thursday of this week at the State House Conference Centre in Abuja.
This was said in a statement made on Sunday by Dr Isiaka Yahaya, the National Population Commission’s Director of Public Affairs (NPC).
Yahaya stated that the National Stakeholders Summit’s goal is to increase national support for the effective conduct of the 2023 Census. The summit is being organised by the NPC with assistance from the United Nations Population Fund (UNFPA).
According to him, the goal of the National Stakeholders Summit is to raise and maintain public knowledge of the conduct of the 2023 Census, including its requirements, methodology, and timetables, as well as to enlist the assistance and support of significant stakeholders.
Presentations on the state of the 2023 Census preparations, the methodology and procedures to be used, technology advancements, and impending preparatory events in the census calendar will be included.
The National Stakeholders Summit, as gathered by theGazetteNGR, is planned to draw senior government figures from the Federal and State levels, as well as representatives from the media, traditional institutions, civil society actors, religious organisations, women’s and youth organisations, academia, the commercial sector, and development partners.
He continued by saying that the invited guests should come to the site no later than 08.30 am in order to take a quick COVID-19 exam and be seated by 09.30 am.
