A 25-year-old worker of Nigerian heritage named Beauty is the subject of an investigation by prosecutors in Catanzaro, in southern Calabria.
Beauty claimed that when she inquired for payment from her employer at a beach club and restaurant in Soverato, close to Catanzaro, she was hit.
The young lady recorded the aggressive exchange and live-streamed it on social media. She then reported the assault to the police in Soverato on Tuesday, August 2, with the help of her attorney, Filomena Pedullà.
Nicola Pirroncello, 53, has been named as the suspected attacker, theGazetteNGR learnt. He is the owner of the restaurant and beach club Mare Nostrum. He does not have a criminal history despite being the son of a retired Carabinieri police officer.
According to the Nigerian woman’s attorney, Filomena Pedullà, the Woman Received “200 euros instead of the 600 specified,” and the Carabinieri police are looking into possible accusations of theft, bodily injury, and threats following the reported aggressiveness of Beauty.
Investigators are looking into payment slips, according to Pedullà.
“The young woman received a bank transfer of 200 euros although an agreement had been reached for the payment of 600 euros”.
