Secretary General of the Ministry of Culture, Arts and Sports Dr. Hassan Abbasi together with BASATA today announced a major strategic event aimed at mobilizing people on the whole issue of citizens' participation in the population and housing census that is expected to be held on the 23rd of this month.
The event named "SENSUS BIGGEST EVENT" which is scheduled to take place on the 21st of this month at the Leaders grounds is expected to bring together all the stakeholders of BASATA as well as the Ministry of Culture, Arts and Sports.
Dr. Abbasi has said that all kinds of surprises will be present on that day, including great artists who will participate in the event along with various art and culture shows.
Also, Dr. Abbasi said that the opportunity will be given to various artists to show their works related to awareness on the whole issue of population census and housing, so they should present their works to BASATA so that they can be reviewed and given permission to appear on the day of the event.

In addition, the Executive Secretary of the National Arts Council Dr. Mapana has made it clear that all the preparations have been completed and the coordination of the groups and artists who sent their work has been completed and he has emphasized that the works that will be selected to be shown that day are those with high standards, in order to provide guaranteed entertainment while encouraging the audience to participate in the census of people and residence.
The leaders of the art federations also had the opportunity to make clear their plans on the day of the big event together with the representative of the Tanzania Sports Council who ensured the completeness of the sports preparations at the event.
