General Hospital (GH) spoilers hint that Willow Corinthos (Katelyn MacMullen) is well on her way to recovery, all thanks to her great-aunt Liesl Obrecht (Kathleen Gati). It’s been a hot minute since fans have seen the character onscreen. In fact, since the good doctor donated her bone marrow, she’s been MIA.

Gati hopped on social media recently to chat about the GH Fan Club weekend on July 30th, her 11-year anniversary with the soap opera, as well as her upcoming birthday. She also answered a question a fan had about where her character Liesl has been lately and if she’ll be seen on the show, soon.

The actress tweeted on June 22nd that she has “no idea” “if and when” Obrecht will be back on the canvas. This doesn’t sound promising.

Liesl has been a focal point in many storylines this year. She not only came to Willow’s rescue with her bone marrow, but she’s also been advocating for the young woman to give her bio mom Nina Reeves (Cynthia Watros) a chance.

Liesl also was a major player in the exit storyline involving Victor Cassadine (Charles Shaughnessy), as one of his hostages and one of the many that brought him down.

Actor Kin Shriner, who plays Scott Baldwin on the show, recently tweeted that he was written out of Port Charles storylines, implying he has exited from the show.

As a legendary GH character, the news saddened many fans. What’s even worse, is that Scotty is Liesl’s main love interest on the show.

With him gone, there’s a good chance she could be gone too. In light of her last child, Britt Westbourne (Kelly Thiebaud) recently passing away, and thus, leaving storylines, things don’t look good for Liesl.

Still, it’s important to note that Obrecht still has roots in the little town. She’s super close with Nina, Maxie Jones (Kirsten Storms), and has a grandson in James West (Gary James Fuler).
