IFFM: The sports drama film “Ghoomer,” starring actors Abhishek Bachchan and Saiyami Kher, received a standing ovation on the opening dusk of the Indian Film Festival of Melbourne (IFFM) 2023. “Ghoomer” is tipped to be a masterpiece of a movie that masterfully blends drama, emotion, and pure enjoyment while telling a heroically inspirational tale of a person who overcomes all odds. The audience was spellbound by the enchantment that played out on screen when the curtains raised and the movie was presented for the first time. The movie earned loud acclaim and a standing ovation.

“I’m grateful for this kind of platform for the world release of our film,” Abhishek stated during the opening night. Ghoomer was created with passion. Balki has long desired to achieve this. Making a movie about the game is, in my opinion, the best way to give back to something you love so much.

The star-studded event was attended by a large throng of ardent fans and members of the film industry, including Mrunal Thakur, Anurag Kashyap, Kartik Aaryan, Vijay Varma, Rajshri Deshpande, Aparshakti Khurana, and Vikramaditya Motwane.

The film’s key actors are Shabana Azmi, bhishek Bachchan, Saiyami Kher, and Angad Bedi and is directed by the renowned R Balki.

Abhishek plays the role of a coach whose life takes a surprise turn when he meets Saiyami Kher’s outstanding character, a paraplegic athlete. Their shared journey takes shape in the face of societal obstacles and internal hardships, all under the direction of filmmaker R. Balki’s remarkable storytelling talent.
