Shweta Bachchan, the daughter of actor Amitabh and Jaya Bachchan, wrote a letter as the pair celebrated 50 years of marriage. Shweta also uploaded a vintage image of Amitabh along with Jaya Bachchan looking at one other on the social network late on Friday night.

Jaya can be seen wearing a saree and grinning at Amitabh in the vintage black and white photo, which was apparently taken on the set of one of their movie. He is wearing printed trousers and a shirt. Shweta Bachchan shared the picture and wrote, “Happy 50th Parents – right now you’re ‘Golden’ When questioned once about the key to a happy marriage, my mother replied, “Love,” and I believe my father said, “The wife is always right.” That’s all!

Navya Nanda, Shweta’s daughter, responded to the message by using the crying face along with red heart emojis. She also shared a candid image of Amitabh along with Jaya from the set of their 2001 movie Kabhi Khushi Kabhie Gham on her Instagram Stories. She added the phrase “50 years” and a red heart emoji. As background music, Navya also included the melody Teri Bindiya Re in Abhimaan.

Jaya will appear in Karan Johar’s Rocky Aur Rani Kii Prem Kahani. Shabana Azmi, Alia Bhatt, Dharmendra, and Ranveer Singh all play prominent parts in the family drama.
