Announcement: London, UK – FTRE.WORLD, in partnership with STX:LDN and Crypto Mondays London, is thrilled to announce an upcoming event that will take place on 15th June 2023 at the STX:LDN venue. 

The event aims to run annually, exploring the importance and intersection of technology, law, and regulation in the ever expanding cryptocurrency industry. 

The catchphrase ‘Code is Law’, first coined by Lawrence Lessig, in his 1999 book – ‘Code and other laws of Cyberspace’ has been adopted by Bitcoiners and developers across the industry, but lawyers, government agencies, lawmakers and judges are still trying to understand how the two worlds coincide.

Speakers will disseminate information and research, dispelling or expanding on some of the uncertainty surrounding how blockchain and code can work with the law to build a more modernized, decentralized, and improved monetary network, regulatory framework, and overall legal system.

Amongst this intersection, speakers will explore the importance and impact of business and public discourse in policy making decisions, the most recent developments in the regulatory landscape including recent EU framework changes, the UK’s proposal to classify crypto assets under gambling regulations, Bitcoin Mining policy and more…

In addition to the informative presentations and debates, this event marks the development of a new open forum and community discussing the adage of ‘Code is Law’, bringing together regulators, lawyers, developers, investors, and the general public in open discourse around the future of blockchain, Bitcoin, crypto regulation and governance.
