Tollywood had a disastrous month of August. Not even a Telugu movie had succeeded in August—only the dubbing Film Jailer featuring superstar Rajinikanth in the lead role is an exception. Now that September has arrived, Tollywood has pinned high hopes for this month.

There is an exciting lineup of films in September starting with Kushi starring Vijay Deverakonda and Samantha in the lead roles. On September 7th SRK’s Jawan and on September 8th Miss Shetty Mr Polishetty will be released. A lot has been riding on both of these movies.

For the Vinayaka Chavithi weekend, Ram’s Skanda, Lawrence’s Chandramukhi 2, and Vishal’s Mark Antony will be hitting the screens. Prashant Neel’s Salaar is one of the biggest bets this year. Apart from these films, there are some notable films from other languages as well. We have to wait and see how these films will fare.
