New Year’s eve: Hyderabad bracing up for new restrictions

In the wake of the New Year celebrations, Hyderabad City Police have imposed stern restrictions. There will be traffic congestion as many flyovers will be shut down in the city from night 10 PM on December 31st to January 1st, 2023 2 AM. The new restrictions read no vehicles will be allowed on the NTR Marg, Necklace Road, and the Upper Tank Bund in the time period mentioned above. There will be traffic diversions.

The traffic will be diverted to Nirankari Road and Raj Bhavan Road. The vehicles that travel to Tunk Bund from Secunderabad will be diverted through the Katta Maisamma temple road.

The Police department also made it clear that apart from the vehicles that will go to the airport, no other vehicles will be allowed on ORR from 10 PM to 5 AM on the above-mentioned dates. There will be thorough scrutiny. Apart from the traffic restrictions, traffic police are bracing up with extensive drunk and drive, rash driving checks. The pubs in Jubilee Hills must go on silent mode after 10 PM for New Year events.
