Former US President Donald Trump celebrated Diwali in a grand manner at his residence in Mar a Lago, (State of Florida) along with representatives of various Indian communities. On this occasion, while addressing the representatives of the Republican Hindu Federation across America, Trump specially congratulated Shalli Kumar, Satish Vemana, Vikram Kumar, and Haribhai Patel who participated in this program and organized it successfully.

Donald Trump on this occasion stated that good will always triumph over evil and that all mankind will live in peace and brotherhood. The program started with Diya lighting. Trump stated that India-US diplomatic relations and cooperation should continue at a high level, and he particularly congratulated the leadership and members of the Republican Hindu Federation for standing behind him in the 2016 elections.

Appealing to provide this cooperation in the future, he said that when his party comes to power, he will make the members of the federation partners in the management of his government and appoint Shalli Kumar as the Indian ambassador on their behalf. He said that we will take a positive view of the various problems faced by India and jointly eradicate the root causes of terrorism.
