Up until the arrival of the fashion police, the Wedding of Parineeti Chopra and Raghav Chadha seemed to be a fairytale-worthy event.
Internet users were quick to point out that the Ishaqzaade star’s wedding dress is very identical to the one that her competitor co-star Alia Bhatt wore when she married Ranbir Kapoor.
Parineeti wore a cream-white set that was made by A-list fashion designer Manish Malhotra on her big day. The outfit has a striking similarity to Alia’s wedding dress and was designed by the same designer.
On Twitter, users began circulating images of the couple’s wedding while criticising Parineeti for imitating the actor from Rocky Aur Rani Ki Prem Kahani in terms of “style.”

Some people even believe that the recently married pair mimicked the postures of Alia Bhatt and Ranbir Kapoor.

Other sharp-eyed netizens even pointed out that Parineeti was wearing the same garlands as Alia, and they called her out on it.

Some Internet users believe that Parineeti imitated Alia’s wedding outfit, while others believe that she chose wedding jewellery that was identical to that worn by Kiara Advani, who married her co-star Sidharth Malhotra in February of 2023.

People on social media made fun of her for choosing an attire with a pastel motif on her big day and for her simple wedding ceremony. At the same time, they encouraged celebrities to continue wearing traditional red joras.
One person criticised how Bollywood weddings were becoming more like Christian nuptials. “Christian Katrina wore red, but Hindu women like Alia and Parineeti are wearing white,” she said. “Christian Katrina wore red.”
